VIDEO: Lowry feeds DeRozan for two double-clutch dunks vs. Knicks

If the preseason is any indication, DeMar DeRozan is poised to take his game to the next level a year after making his first All-Star team.

Following an impressive summer that saw him crack Team USA's final FIBA World Cup roster, DeRozan entered Friday night's preseason game against the New York Knicks averaging 14.5 points on 46 percent shooting - playing an average of only 20 minutes per game - through six contests, and showing off an improved handle to boot.

He wowed the Montreal crowd on Friday night with two double-clutch jams in the third quarter, both set up beautifully by backcourt mate Kyle Lowry.

The Lowry-DeRozan partnership probably didn't get enough respect when the best-backcourt debate came up earlier this preseason. The pair actually had more combined win shares than any other backcourt last year.

DeRozan finished with 15 points in the Raptors' preseason finale, an 83-80 victory. Lowry finished with 12 points, eight assists and seven rebounds.

The Raptors completed the preseason with a league-best 7-1 record.
