Interviewer calls kiss from Tristan Thompson an 'inside joke'

When Cleveland Cavaliers forward Tristan Thompson planted a kiss on Allie Clifton on Friday, it raised some eyebrows.

Thompson, in his own Kissing Suzy Kolber moment, made some uncomfortable with what could have been construed as sexual harassment. Clifton turning red and acting shocked certainly didn't help that impression.

On Monday, though, Clifton took to Twitter to make sure nobody is concerned on her behalf:

According to at least one person knowledgeable with the Cavaliers' broadcasts, this is a running thing between Thompson and Clifton, who are said to drop inside jokes during sideline interviews regularly.

But it's probably best if Thompson avoids putting lips to journalists in the future, just to be sure.
