San Antonio Spurs forward Kawhi Leonard could miss the remainder of the preseason with an eye infection that has spread from his right eye to his left, according to the San Antonio Express-News' Mike Monroe.

While it's not certain that Leonard will miss all of the Spurs' remaining preseason games, the team is holding him out of Saturday's game against the Miami Heat.

Leonard has missed all but one of the team's preseason games thus far, logging 29 minutes in San Antonio's shocking loss to German club Alba Berlin.

The Spurs have three preseason games still to play after Saturday's date with the Heat, and will then open their regular season on Oct. 28 against the Dallas Mavericks.

Leonard averaged 12.8 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.7 steals for the Spurs last season, and is expected to see his production increase again this year.
