Walker (knee) will play in Friday's preseason game, the Charlotte Observer's Rick Bonnell reports.

Analysis:

Bonnell said Walker will "give it a try," so it's unlikely that the Bobcats' point guard plays significant minutes. Nonetheless, it's encouraging that he will take the court, and is on track to be relatively healthy for the start of the regular season.
