DeMarcus Cousins: (Achilles) Will Play Saturday

Cousins (Achilles) is expected to play in Saturday's exhibition game, James Ham of Cowbell Kingdom reports.

Analysis:

Cousins has been dealing with tendinitis in his Achilles but it apparently isn't hampering him enough to sit out Saturday. A large workload for Team USA during the offseason may have caused Cousins some fatigue, so he may ultimately be on a rehab schedule with the rest of the preseason. With that in mind, Cousins has until Oct. 29 to figure out the right balance between rest and reps before the Kings start their regular season against the Warriors.
