LeBron shoots down claim he set pick on own teammate

No, LeBron James said, he didn't forget what team he plays for.

The Internet was abuzz over the weekend after video from a Cleveland Cavaliers and Miami Heat preseason contest in Rio de Janeiro appeared to show James setting a screen on teammate Matthew Dellavedova (see below for the clip).

James got in Dellavedova's way, allowing former teammate and Heat guard Norris Cole to get to the top of the 3-point line unguarded. But James said Wednesday that he and Dellavedova simply got their signals crossed.

"For non-basketball people, our coverage is for me to show and for Delly to go under me and we just didn't get the call right at the time," James said, according to Dave McMenamin of ESPN. "Delly was supposed to slide under me and we kind of ran into each other.

"So, for non-basketball people, they like to critique everything that I do. It's stupid."
