Celtics' coach Stevens: 'It would be tough to unseat' Kelly Olynyk as starting center

The Boston Celtics' plans for their starting five-man unit became clearer Wednesday. 

Sophomore Kelly Olynyk is the front-runner to land the starting center gig, and could be joined by Jared Sullinger down low, with Jeff Green and Avery Bradley on the wing. Chris Forsberg of ESPN Boston speculates that Evan Turner could be the team's starting point guard if Rajon Rondo (hand) is forced to miss the beginning of the season. 

"It would be tough to unseat (Olynyk)," Celtics coach Brad Stevens said, according to the team's official Twitter account. 

Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe adds that Stevens likes Olynyk as the starter based on the 7-footer's versatility. 

Olynyk has the potential to create a matchup problem with his ability to space the floor and connect from long range. The 23-year-old averaged 8.7 points per game, 5.2 rebounds and shot 35.1 percent from beyond the arc during his rookie season last year.
