DeMarcus Cousins: Sits Out Wednesday With Sore Achilles
Cousins sat out Wednesday's preseason game against the Nets with bilateral soreness in his Achilles, the Kings' official site reports.
Analysis:
Cousins has been reported to be experiencing some level of burnout as a result of playing with Team USA this summer and transitioning almost seamlessly into training camp without many days for rest. With that in mind, getting Cousins rest during the preseason may be more important than getting him the reps that he already had with Team USA. We're not devaluing Cousins based on his extra work load this summer at this time, but we're keeping a close on stories of his health in case something more concrete is revealed. The Kings' next preseason game is back stateside Saturday against Maccabi Haifa.
