The 33-year-old Richardson didn't play last season after he was recovering from knee surgery. At this point, we can be certain he won't be starting, like he has in 827 of his 838 career games. With that in mind, Brown said he wants to keep Richardson on the team, but Brown still isn't sure whether he wants Richardson to be a player or mentor.
