Damian Lillard finished 13th in the NBA in assists last season and already has 988 for his career as he enters his third season in the league.

Perhaps no assist has been as important as the one dished Sunday night, though, as the Rip City point guard aided a fan with a courtside proposal. Have a look.

While it was just a preseason game, courtside tickets don't come cheap. The man proposing also flexed some serious creativity and influence by securing Lillard's involvement. His wife-to-be seemed quite impressed.

Lillard appeared to have fun helping out. He missed the actual game due to a strained left foot, but credit his resilience in still managing a one in the assist column.
