The Washington Wizards received some good news regarding shooting guard Bradley Beal's wrist injury.

Beal underwent surgery on his fractured left wrist on Sunday. The surgery was successful, and he is expected to return in six weeks, according to a press release from the team.

A six-week absence puts Beal on pace to miss approximately 11 games of regular season action. In his stead, the Wizards will likely need to turn to subpar in-house replacements to fill the void.
