Evans (hamstring) will not play Tuesday against Houston but hopes to be available Thursday against Oklahoma City. "I feel much better," Evans said. "When I make a move, I don't feel anything pulling too badly. The hamstring is tricky; some days it's good, some days it isn't. I've been doing a good job of icing it and getting my rehab in."

Analysis:

Evans is yet to play this preseason after aggravating a left hamstring injury prior to training camp. He practiced for the first time over the weekend and hopes to see time in at least two of the Pelicans' four remaining preseason games. Barring a setback, it appears he'll attempt to give it a go Thursday, and he could play again Monday, Oct. 20 (versus Washington) if all goes smoothly.
