5 players fighting for 2 starting spots on Pacers

The Indiana Pacers have two big holes to fill with Lance Stephenson and Paul George out of the picture.

Stephenson and George combined for 5,650 minutes played during the regular season last year. They took care of the majority of ball-handling duties and accounted for more than 35 percent of the Pacers' scoring output.

Their shoes will be hard to fill, but the Pacers are hoping to get by with a little patchwork. Five players - Rodney Stuckey, C.J. Miles, Chris Copeland, Solomon Hill and Damjan Rudez - are said to be competing for Indiana's open wing spots.

The favorites, as of right now, are likely Stuckey and Miles, who have spent the majority of camp playing with the starters, according to the Indianapolis Star. Stuckey chips in with ball-handling abilities while Miles is a sharpshooting wing.

Pacers head coach Frank Vogel likes Stuckey for his ability to play in two-point guard lineups with starter George Hill.

"The two of them played a lot together today and looked really comfortable together. I was pretty excited about what it looked like," Vogel told the Indianapolis Star. "Just mixing up, who's bringing the ball up, who's playing off screens … and having a two-guard attack, that's one of the things I've been excited about early on in camp."
