Nick Young: Sprains Thumb In Practice

Young sprained his right thumb during Friday's practice and will get an MRI to determine the severity of the injury, the Orange County Register reports.

Analysis:

The results of Young's MRI won't be revealed until Saturday, so his status moving forward should be in question until further news is released. Fortunately for Young, the Lakers don't start their season until Oct. 28 which will give the 29-year-old a solid amount of buffer time to recover, regardless of how severe the injury ends up being.
