Young will be the Lakers' sixth man this season and coach Byron Scott said he believes he "has a chance to be sixth man of the year," InsideSoCal.com reports.

Analysis:

Coach Scott has already hinted that Young would come off the bench and this now confirms it. Young led the Lakers in scoring in his first season in Los Angeles, averaging 17.9 points per game, but will now have to adjust to playing with Kobe Bryant and although Young will come off the bench, coach Scott stated they will play together at times.
