Harkless worked to improve his shooting, ball handling, agility, and accuracy near the rim this offseason, the Orlando Sentinel reports.

Analysis:

Harkless spurned the Puerto Rican national team this summer in order to focus on improving his game. He did struggle at the rim last season and his dribbling wasn't too far behind, so it's comforting to hear Harkless willingly improved those deficiencies. The 6-foot-9 forward enters his age-21 season fresh off a sophomore campaign converting an impressive 38 percent from beyond the arc. Coach Jacque Vaughn delivered a glowing quote on behalf of Harkless, stating "[Harkless] has been very consistent from the start of camp 'til today." Entrenched in a position battle with Tobias Harris, consistency will be the key to Harkless's success.
