PHOTO: DeMarcus Cousins limits himself to 5 technicals this season

It's no secret that DeMarcus Cousins is one of the most volatile players on an NBA court, as his 59 technical fouls over his first four seasons can attest.

Last season, Cousins tied for the league lead with 16 technicals, matching Kevin Durant and Blake Griffin.

Based on this photo of Cousins' locker, however, via Kings teammate Reggie Evans, the big man will try to limit himself to just five techicals this season.

For what it's worth, Cousins' career-low for technicals in a season is 12, set in the 2011-12 campaign.

If he can actually keep the technicals and on-court meltdowns to a minimum, Cousins' All-Star caliber game should get the respect it deserved last season, when he averaged 22.7 points, 11.7 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.3 blocks per game.
