Jefferson enters training camp devoid of the torn plantar fascia that impacted him in April's first-round playoff sweep at the hands of the Heat, the Charlotte Observer reports.
Analysis:
After suffering the injury in the postseason opener, 3-to-4 months passed before the majority of symptoms subsided. Although he's healed, Jefferson still experiences tightness in his left foot each morning, which is a normal aftereffect of such an ailment. He enters his second year in Charlotte as the unquestioned starting center, which should result in 35 minutes per game and near-nightly double-doubles once again.
