Stoudemire was limited in Tuesday's practice, Al Iannazzone of Newsday reports.

Analysis:

While Stoudemire is not injured, the team is making a conscious effort to avoid overworking him in the early stages of camp. He participated in the first two hours of practice before being pulled, and he's expected to practice in the night session of Tuesday's two-a-day. His knee troubles over the past few seasons have been well-publicized, but he played in 65 games last season - his most since 2010-11. The 31-year-old said he hopes to ply around 30 minutes this season, but the health of his knees will ultimately determine his role in the rotation, as well as his effectiveness.
