Analysis:

During media day Gasol made it clear that he plans to be more aggressive offensively this year. Given that the Grizzlies figure to shoot more three-pointers this year, Gasol should see more single coverage than he has in recent years, and it doesn't appear he'll be shy to go work on offense if that is indeed the case. Coach Dave Joerger made it clear he expects more from Gasol this season as well. He has always been lauded for his unselfish nature, but if he starts putting up a few more points per game without dropping off in the other categories he'd certainly be in for the best season of his career. He was also very reassuring about the fact that he loves Memphis and is not worried about his contract situation. Continue to target Gasol in the first few rounds on draft-day, as he provides consistently solid production in every major category except three-pointers.
