Jackson is likely to remain in a bench role to begin the season, The Oklahoman reports.

Analysis:

While nothing has been officially announced, Thunder GM Sam Presti seemed to indicate Andre Roberson has the inside track to start at shooting guard with Thabo Sefolosha no longer on the roster. While Jackson is undoubtedly the more proven commodity, the team values his versatility and scoring punch off the bench. Jackson started 36 games - mostly when Russell Westbrook was out with a knee injury - last season and averaged 13.1 points, 3.9 rebounds and 4.1 assists in 80 total contests.
