The Boston Celtics officially completed the widely reported signing of swingman Evan Turner, the team announced Monday morning

Turner, a 6-foot-7 wing, was acquired by the Indiana Pacers in February in an attempt to bolster their playoff roster. He played 27 games for the Pacers, averaging 7.1 points in 21.1 minutes.

The 25-year-old played his previous three-and-a-half seasons with the Philadelphia 76ers, who selected him second overall in the 2010 draft. Turner has averaged 11.1 points and 5.3 rebounds in 29 minutes per game in his 306 game NBA career.
