Could Iman Shumpert's stay in New York be coming to an end?

The two sides have until Oct. 31 to hammer out a potential extension lest Shumpert become a restricted free agent next summer, but the Knicks have yet to engage in negotiations, according to a report from Ian Begley of ESPN New York

Through his first three seasons in the NBA, Shumpert has been an intriguing prospect. He flashed the ability to sink 3-pointers and play strong perimeter defense in his sophomore season, but his performance dipped last season.

On the whole, Shumpert is averaging just 7.7 points and 3.5 rebounds per game on 34.2 percent shooting from deep for his career. His defensive prowess is certainly to be counted, but Shumpert has yet to live up to his expectations.
