Sorry, DeMarcus Cousins, but someone with a better resume has stepped up as a candidate to be the third Splash Brother.

Jason Kapono is coming out of retirement after signing a training camp deal with the Golden State Warriors, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports.

Kapono announced his retirement after nine seasons in May of this year, having taken last season off after a season in Greece. Still just 33 years old, Kapono's chances of making the roster seem extremely slim given how his career petered out.

From his 2003-04 rookie season to 2009-10, Kapono shot a ridiculous 44 percent from 4-point range, averaging 7.3 points in just 19 minutes a game. During that time, he ranked 72nd in total 3-point makes despite the low minutes load, twice leading the league in 3-point percentage and twice winning the 3-Point Shootout at All-Star Weekend.

Over his final two seasons, Kapono's 3-point shot abandoned him in an admittedly small sample. He shot just 9-of-35 over 51 games to end his NBA tenure, being limited to very small roles due to his complete lack of ability to contribute anywhere but the 3-point line.

In Greece in 2012-13, Kapono shot 45 percent from long range over 17 games, playing largely the same role he had played in the NBA. If his 3-point shot is as pure as it once was and he's still in good shape, there's a chance - albeit incredibly slim - he could find his way back to the league.
