Lopez (foot) played 5-on-5 Monday for the first time since undergoing surgery in March, the New York Daily News reports.

Analysis:

Lopez continues to work back from a broken foot and ankle tear that cut his season short after just 17 games. It was the second time in three seasons that he suffered a major foot injury, but he said recently that he feels better than ever and does not expect to be restricted. Of course, Lopez is a significant fantasy risk at this point, but when healthy he's arguably the top offensive center in the league. Prior to going down last season, Lopez was averaging a career-best 20.7 points to go with 6.0 boards and 1.8 blocks. He also shoots a high percentage from the field, as well as the free throw line.
