The Nuggets have signed versatile forward Marcus Williams to a one-year contract after the 27-year-old enjoyed success in China, according to RealGM's Shams Charania.

Williams has appeared in just 13 NBA games between the Spurs and Clippers since being drafted 33rd overall by the Spurs in the 2007 Draft. He's also spent time in the D-League and in China's CBA, first with the Zhejiang Wanma Cyclones and for the last three years with Shanxi Zhongyu.

The 6-foot-7, 205-pound Arizona product was an All-Star in China in 2011.

The Nuggets only have 13 guaranteed contracts on their books, meaning Williams may have a shot to crack the team's final roster even if his contract is non-guaranteed.

Williams is not to be confused with the point guard named Marcus Williams who was drafted by the Nets in 2006 and went on to play four seasons with the Nets, Warriors and Grizzlies.
