Andray Blatche signs 1-year deal in China

Adam Hunger / USA TODAY Sports

Former Brooklyn Nets center Andray Blatche will be taking his talents overseas next season after signing a one-year deal with the Xinjiang Guanghui Flying Tigers in China.

Andy Miller, Blatche's agent, made the announcement official on Twitter Saturday afternoon. The Flying Tigers made the CBA finals last season, and will be in good position to do so again after adding NBA talent.

Blatche spent the last nine seasons in the NBA, the most recent two with the Nets and seven with the Washington Wizards before that. He averaged 11.2 points and 5.3 rebounds in 22.2 minutes off the bench for Brooklyn last season, and has posted 10.1 points and 5.4 rebounds across his 564 career games.

The move makes for quite the international year for Blatche. Earlier he became a naturalized citizen of the Philippines and represented them at the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup.
