Report: Miroslav Raduljica signs with Chinese team

Free-agent big man Miroslav Raduljica, who spent last season with the Milwaukee Bucks, has signed a one-year contract with Shandong of the Chinese Basketball Association, according to RealGM.

The San Antonio Spurs and Philadelphia 76ers were among several NBA teams reportedly interested in Raduljica, but the report states that Gustavo Ayon's leaning towards Europe allowed Raduljica to secure a "lucrative offer" in China.

The 7-foot center played a key role in Serbia's surprising run to the gold-medal game at the FIBA World Cup earlier this month, averaging 13 points per game on nearly 55 percent shooting in nine contests for the runners-up.

While he appeared in just 48 games and played less than 10 minutes per game for Milwaukee last season, Raduljica enjoyed a solid rookie season and made the most of his limited playing time, averaging 3.8 points and 2.3 rebounds while posting a 15.3 PER. The 26-year-old was one of 20 rookies to record at least one full win share in 2013-14, according to Basketball Reference.

Given that his new deal is for just one year, and that the Chinese season ends in February, there is still the possibility that Raduljica finds an NBA home later in the season.

Raduljica was traded to the Clippers in the move that sent Jared Dudley to Milwaukee, but was subsequently waived by L.A.
