Deron Williams: Says Ankles Have Finally Healed

Williams insists that his ankles feel better than ever after having surgery in the offseason and plans to attend training camp 100 percent healthy for the first time during his three years with the Nets, the New York Post reports.

Analysis:

Williams has been plagued with injuries during his tenure in Brooklyn, but his current disposition seems to suggest that he could be turning over a new leaf for his 2014-15 campaign. Limited to just 64 games last season with the ankle issues, the 30-year-old believes that his offseason surgery will allow him to bounce back towards his once exceptional play at point guard. While a long grueling season will be the ultimate determinant of Williams' viability, his new-found optimism is encouraging for his potential owners.
