Despite Orlando winning just 23 games last season, Magic forward Tobias Harris isn't interested in fleeing for greener pastures.

"Obviously, I want to be here," Harris told the Orlando Sentinel on Friday. "I love the fans, the city of Orlando and the guys. Management knows I want to be here. It's the perfect situation for me."

Harris has played out three years of his four-year rookie deal, and the Magic have until Oct. 31 to sign him to an extension. If the two sides cannot reach a deal by that point, Harris will become a restricted free agent next summer (provided the Magic extend him a qualifying offer).

The 22-year-old Harris is one of the better kept secrets in the league. Standing 6-foot-8, and weighing 226 pounds, he can play both forward positions. The rare forward who can play inside-out, Harris averaged 14.6 points and seven rebounds per game last season.

Harris' teammate, center Nikola Vucevic, is facing a similar situation being three years into his rookie deal. Having to negotiate two extensions at once may be slowing down the Magic's progress.
