1951 - Tri-Cities Blackhawks move to Milwaukee, become the Hawks

Less than five years after moving the Buffalo Bisons to Moline, Illinois mid-season, team owner Ben Kerner moves the team (now known as the Tri-Cities Blackhawks) to Milwaukee and renames them the Hawks.

The team lasts just four seasons in Milwaukee before moving to St. Louis in 1955, compiling an awful four-year record of 91-190 in Wisconsin. The Hawks' best record during their four-year run in Milwaukee was 26-46.

1979 - Lakers trade Adrian Dantley to Jazz in exchange for Spencer Haywood

Historical trades involving the Los Angeles Lakers usually see The Purple and Gold fleecing a lesser team and acquiring a franchise cornerstone in the process.

Not this time.

Sure, The Lakers would go on to win a championship in Haywood's lone season with the team in 1979-80, but the 30-year-old contributes just 9.7 points and 4.6 rebounds per game in the regular season while averaging just 13 minutes of playing time a night during the playoffs.

The 23-year-old Adrian Dantley, on the other hand, averages 28.0 points, 7.6 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.4 steals, and makes his first All-Star game in his debut season with the Utah Jazz.

In seven seasons in Utah, the Hall of Fame forward makes six All-Star games and two All-NBA teams, averaging 29.6 points, 6.2 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.1 steals in the process.

According to Basketball Reference, the Jazz get 76.3 win shares from Dantley over seven years, while the Lakers get 3.1 from Haywood.
