Ex-Raptor Julyan Stone signs in Italy

Despite interest from several NBA teams, former Toronto Raptor Julyan Stone is heading overseas to play next season.

Reyer Venezia Mestre of the Lega Basket Serie A in Italy officially announced Friday that they have signed the 25-year-old guard.

The Los Angeles Lakers, San Antonio Spurs, Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat and Los Angeles Clippers all reportedly had interest in Stone.

In 21 games last season with the Raptors, Stone averaged 0.9 points on 41 percent shooting while playing 5.7 minutes.
