Lakers' Xavier Henry could be limited in training camp after multiple offseason surgeries

Xavier Henry's injuries are apparently impossible to get a handle on.

Last season, a bruised right knee sidelined Henry for more than two months, with the timeline frustratingly getting pushed back time after time. He returned, but was shut down for the season shortly after. He underwent surgery on his left wrist and right knee, procedures that were supposed to have Henry in top shape when 2014-15 rolled around.

The Los Angeles Lakers believed enough in Henry's recovery to sign him to a one-year deal in July, but the most recent word is that, once again, Henry's timeline could get pushed back.

"I haven't seen him do much on the court," new head coach Byron Scott said of Henry. "It's going to be close on if he's ready for camp ... [Henry] might be limited in training camp."

While it wouldn't be a huge deal to have Henry working his way back into form in early October, it's surely frustrating for the 23-year-old, who was enjoying a bit of a breakout with the Lakers in 2013-14. Henry averaged career highs of 10 points, 2.7 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 21.1 minutes over the 43 games he appeared in.
