Kings officially waive Jeremy Tyler

Mark D. Smith / USA TODAY Sports

The Sacramento Kings moved further underneath the luxury tax on Saturday by waiving journeyman center Jeremy Tyler.

Tyler was acquired in a salary dump trade with the New York Knicks in August. Across 104 career games, Tyler has also played for the Golden State Warriors and Atlanta Hawks. He scored 3.6 points and grabbed 2.7 rebounds per game as a Knick last season.

The Kings had until Sept. 15 to waive Tyler's contract for 2014-15.
