Ryan Anderson: (Neck) Cleared for Contact

Anderson (neck) has been cleared for full contact, essentially making him 100-percent healthy going into the season.

Analysis:

Anderson announced that his doctors cleared him for full contact via his Instagram account Wednesday. He injured his neck in January and was forced to miss the remainder of the 2013-14 season after undergoing surgery to repair a herniated disc. Anderson should be considered healthy for all fantasy purposes, and the only thing that hurts his fantasy value at the moment is the potential impact the addition of Omer Asik might have on his minutes this season. In 22 games played last season, Anderson averaged 19.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, 0.8 assists, 0.5 steals, 0.3 blocks, and 3.0 three-pointers in 36 minutes per game. If the Pelicans are healthy, it's reasonable to think that his points and minutes played will go down this season, impacting his fantasy value.
