Vonleh had surgery Tuesday to treat a sports hernia and will miss six-to-eight weeks, the Charlotte Observer's Rick Bonnell reports.

Analysis:

He'll miss all of training camp as a result of the surgery, which likely means he'll have a hard time playing any kind of major role for the Hornets early in the season. There's no denying Vonleh's physical tools and well-rounded skill set, but he will take time to develop, and should be an afterthought on draft day.
