Analysis:
The paperwork hasn't been signed yet, so nothing is official, but it appears Monroe will return to Detroit on a one-year qualifying offer. By accepting the offer, Monroe will be an unrestricted free agent after the 2014-15 season. Monroe has been a double-double machine for the Pistons for the past couple seasons, and while he doesn't appear to have a long-term future with the team any longer, there's little reason to believe he won't once again be a solid performer for the team this season.
