With NBA training camps set to open in just over a month, Michael Carter-Williams still isn't back to 100 percent health.

The reigning NBA Rookie of the Year underwent shoulder surgery in April, and while his recovery is heading in the right direction, he's not at the point where he'd be able to replicate his sensational start to last season.

"Things are coming along," said Philadelphia 76ers general manager Sam Hinkie of Carter-Williams in a conference call with Philly.com. "I haven't seen the full report of late and haven't seen the most recent checkup. He can shoot and is working hard. He is not ready for full five-on-five contact."

Carter-Williams, who averaged 16.7 points, 6.2 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 1.9 steals in his first year, recently said his rehabilitation was "going great" and is set to embrace a leadership role on the 76ers this season.
