Touré Murry got tired of waiting on the New York Knicks. He's decided to take his talents to Salt Lake City, according to Chris Herring of the Wall Street Journal.

The Knicks clearly liked what Murry showed in his 51-game stint in New York last season. The rookie point guard posted per-game averages of 2.7 points and one assist. However, the Knicks were unable to sort out their cap structure before making a commitment, hence Murry's decision.

In Utah, Murry figures to slot in as a third-string point guard. The Jazz drafted two point guards – first Trey Burke, then Dante Exum – with their high lottery picks over the last two seasons, though the two could conceivably share the floor at times, which would in turn open up opportunities for Murry.

Murry's deal is expected to be worth roughly $2 million in total, which is believed to be the minimum salary Murry could command. Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports notes that the first year of Murry's deal is guaranteed for $250,000 but the second is non-guaranteed.
