He hasn't practiced the past two days, and was seen icing his knee earlier in the week, but this is being billed by the team as a "coach's decision" so that they can get a look at some of the other guards who are not locks to make the team. That may not be the most believable excuse, as Rose's injury history is well-documented, and at the very least, it begs the question of how well Rose will be able to handle the compact World Cup schedule.
