According to multiple reports, the charge of domestic assault levied against Minnesota Timberwolves forward Dante Cunningham were dropped by the Hennepin County Attorney's office on Monday.

In speaking to the Pioneer Press, prosecutors in the case cited that "there [was] not proof beyond a reasonable doubt for the charged offense."

The verdict obviously comes as a relief to Cunningham, who happens to be an unrestricted free agent. His defense attorney Emanuel Serstock shared that "[Cunningham] had this cloud hanging over his head."

The 27-year-old forward averaged 6.3 points, 4.1 rebounds and one assist last season. Now that he has shed his legal issues, Cunningham should garner some interest in free-agency, as he is a competent bench big.
