VIDEO: Nate Robinson dunking seven months after torn ACL

Lance Iversen / USA TODAY Sports

Less than seven months ago, Nate Robinson's season came to an end when the Nuggets guard suffered a torn  ACL.

In further evidence that you can't keep the undersized Nathaniel Cornelius Robinson down for long, here's the 5-foot-9 former dunk contest champion showing off his surgically repaired bounce:

Sounds like his enthusiasm is in mid-season form.

Robinson averaged 10.4 points, 2.5 assists and 1.8 rebounds in 44 games with Denver last season before the knee injury, shooting over 37 percent from deep in the process. Earlier this summer, the 30-year-old picked up his $2.1 million player option for 2014-15.

With the additional expected returns of Danilo Gallinari and JaVale McGee, and the talent on board in the form of Ty Lawson, Kenneth Faried, Arron Afflalo, Wilson Chandler and others, Nate-Rob and the Nuggets could return to the Western Conference playoff race with some better luck this season.
