Jazz sign guard Dee Bost

Jayne Kamin / US PRESSWIRE

The Utah Jazz added some depth to their backcourt on Friday in the form of guard Dee Bost.

Bost played with the D-League's Idaho Stampede in 2013-14, averaging 15.2 points, 8.4 assists, 6.1 rebounds and 2.1 steals in 50 starts.

The 24-year-old attended Portland Trail Blazers camp prior to the season, and spent the previous year playing with Buducnost Podgorica of Montenegro. The Charlotte, N.C. native spent his four collegiate years at Mississippi State.

There are a handful of bodies already occupying space in the Jazz backcourt, but aside from presumptive regulars in rookie Dante Exum, sophomore Trey Burke, and fourth-year shooting guard Alec Burks, Bost should get an opportunity to challenge for playing time as the season nears.
