Most of the offseason headlines involving the Minnesota Timberwolves have surrounded Kevin Love, who is reportedly set to be traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers as the two franchises have a "handshake agreement" in place.

However, let's check in on center Ronny Turiaf, currently spending his summer interning at the Olson advertising agency, whose offices overlook Target Field, home of the Minnesota Twins.

According to the StarTribune, Turiaf is working in one-to-two-week segments at the agency, honing his video-production skills, learning social media intricacies, and other marketing expertise that he plans to apply to his Heart to Heart Foundation and his IVC Global management company.

"It definitely feels like when I was just coming into the NBA," Turiaf says. "Just like back then, they're throwing me into the fire."

The summer internship is the result of a chance meeting with Olson executives at an event they coordinated with Dave Chappelle last winter. Turiaf is one of 14 interns hired for the summer and is earning $13 per hour, money that he'll donate to the agency's BrandLab, which works towards broadening the advertising world's ethnic and cultural diversity via a high school mentoring program.

Turiaf, who is entering the final season of his contract with the Timberwolves, is the tallest intern at 6-foot-9, the oldest intern at 31 years of age, and the only intern with an NBA championship ring.
