Bulls' Rose on potential Love trade to Cavs: 'It wouldn't change anything'

Derrick Rose isn't spending much time thinking about the Cleveland Cavaliers potentially landing Kevin Love from the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The former MVP who's been limited to just 10 games over the last two seasons due to numerous knee injuries already knows the Central division will be one of the best in the NBA but also believes his Chicago Bulls match up well with any opposition.

"For us, I think it wouldn't change anything," Rose told ESPN when asked what the acquisition of Love would do. "We know that no matter who we play that we have a legit [chance] to beat anyone in the league. But, at the same time, we know it's not going to be easy at all because guys are getting better. You have guys going to different teams and it's going to be tough. But, at the same time, that's why we're in the NBA and that's why we love this game, for the challenge."

Indiana remain a playoff caliber team despite the loss of Lance Stephenson, Cleveland became a contender in the Eastern Conference when LeBron James decided to return home, while the Detroit Pistons and Milwaukee Bucks - though likely to miss the playoffs once again - have made improvements.

"I wouldn't say (the Central is) the best in the league, but we have a lot of competition in that division," Rose said. "Playing against them teams every night you got to make sure that you got to come out prepared well and (in) rhythm for a tough game."

Rose is currently attending Team USA's training camp and has drawn rave reviews with his former college coach John Calipari saying that the 25-year-old looks beyond where he was prior to injury. A scary thought for Rose's opposition.
