Mavericks make Richard Jefferson signing official

The Dallas Mavericks officially announced the signing of veteran forward Richard Jefferson on Monday.
While the team did not disclose the terms of the deal, ESPN previously reported that Jefferson will earn the veteran minimum of $1.45 million over one season.
The addition of Jefferson helps to fill the void created by Vince Carter's departure to Memphis.
In 78 games last season with Utah, the 34-year-old Jefferson averaged 14.5 points and 4.5 rebounds.
