The Los Angeles Lakers have agreed to a a one-year, $1 million contract for free-agent guard Xavier Henry, reports Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports

Last season, Henry's first with the Lakers, the 23-year-old averaged 10 points and 2.7 rebounds in 21.1 minutes per game, all career highs. But surgery for a torn ligament in his left wrist cut his season short at the end of March.

Now Henry's back, and he's ready to prove you wrong. Again.

After whiffing on the big-name free agents they sought this offseason, the Lakers seem to have shifted their focus to simply fielding a full roster next season. With an eye still on the future, they've been keeping their contract offers short, in an effort to maintain financial flexibility down the road.
