Two days since being waived by the Phoenix Suns, who appear to be snatching up every point guard they possibly can, Ish Smith has reportedly found a new home for the upcoming season.

Tuesday's waiving of Smith came as no surprise given the fact that the Suns' point guard rotation currently includes Goran Dragic, Isaiah Thomas, first-round draft pick Tyler Ennis, and Eric Bledsoe, who is a restricted free agent but who Phoenix appears keen on holding onto.

In Houston, Smith will likely find himself splitting time with Isaiah Canaan as a backup to Patrick Beverley.

The 2013-14 season saw Smith average 3.7 points, 2.6 assists, and 1.8 rebounds over 14.4 minutes per game.
