Luol Deng: Signs Two-Year Deal With Heat
Deng has agreed to a two-year, $20 million contract with the Miami Heat, Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports reports. The deal includes a player option for the 2015-16 season.
Analysis:
The Heat continue to retool in the wake of LeBron James' departure, adding Deng to a core that already includes Chris Bosh, Shabazz Napier, Josh McRoberts and almost certainly Dwyane Wade. Deng split last season between the Bulls and Cavaliers, appearing in 63 total games and averaging 16.0 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists. Deng will slot in as Miami's starting small forward and figures to see close to his career average of 35.8 minutes per game.
