Having struck out on Gordon Hayward, the Charlotte Hornets opted to sign another former Utah Jazz wing player instead.

Williams profiles as a multi-skilled wing who is best suited for a bench role. He has great size and can play both forward positions. He can also shoot three-pointers, having knocked down 35.9 percent of his triples last season.

As a member of the Hornets, Williams fills a number of needs. He can slot in at either forward position, where he would be an upgrade on offense at the three, or a replacement for Josh McRoberts at power forward.

The 28-year-old forward averaged 9.1 points and 5.1 rebounds per game last season.
